THIS ARTICLE AND THE PROCESSES IT DESCRIBES ARE UNDER DEVELOPMENT. NOT ALL OF THE TOOLS IDENTIFIED ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.

Podcasting of academic course sessions puts to use the Web 2.0 technologies of RSS and blog readers to automate the distribution of audio (and video) of class sessions and materials to student subscribers. Instructors can support their students' review of lectures and discussions by recording their class sessions on a computer and making the audio file available to their students.

The parallel article, Podcasts at WSU, provides an overview of the process of listening to or broadcasting audio files of class sessions. This article offers step-by-step instructions.
