ABAQUS

ABAQUS is a Finite Element Analysis toolkit. The program is capabile of linear and non-linear analysis. The version that the class has should be integrated with CATIA.

ANSYS

ANSYS is a Finite Element Analysis toolkit. The program is capabile of linear and non-linear analysis. ABAQUS and ANSYS are similar in functionality. In order to import a model from another program a license needs to be purchased separately.

AutoCAD

AutoCAD is a drafting program. It is capabible of 3-D modeling, but the interface is very unintuive compared to other drafting tools.

CATIA V5

CATIA is a CAD program, as well as an analysis tool. It is a very powerful program that is widely used in industry.

Fluent

Fluent is a computational fluid dynamics program.

LabVIEW

MATLAB

MATLAB is an analyis program/language.

Microsoft Office

Pro/E

Pro/E is a CAD program.

SolidWorks

SolidWorks is a 2D and 3D CAD program. The software has a Windows native interface, making the program fast to learn.

Minesweeper

Minesweeper is an essential engineering tool. As such, it has been preinstalled on all of the lab computers. It is especially useful during lecture.
