MAKING A HOUSE OF QUALITY

First draft: Work on perfecting your needs and metrics. Focus on how each need and metric will affect one another (trade-offs). Determine relative importances of each but keep in mind that these values could be subject to change based on what your project manager thinks of your initial copy. Make some good approximations of what the units for each metric should be. Your project manager can also help you here. Your first draft will most likely not include: customer perceptions, objective measures, technical difficulty, imputed importance, estimated cost, and targets.

It takes a while to format the excel sheet to build the house of quality. I am trying to attach a blank templete so you will be able to download this excel file and have most of the formating done for you.

Here is the template that I used. This will at least get you a good start.
