Members' Message Area

On behalf of Professor Roger Chan and myself, I would like to thank AAPIFSA's support in co-sponsoring for Chanrithy Him's lecture on "The Cambodian Genocide Through the Eyes of a Child" (held April 13), based upon her book "When Broken Glass Floats: Growing Up Under the Khmer Rouge" (Norton, 2000). The lecture was a success and Chanrithy greatly enjoyed her visit and meeting with faculty in the Asia Program, including Roger Chan, Noriko Kawamura, and David Pietz.
Further information on the talk can be taken from the press coverage in WSU Today's on-line edition (type in "genocide" in the search feature in the upper-right corner).
