Outcomes Assessment
Design Clinic [learning outcomes] are derived from the following sources:
- Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering
- ABET, Inc.(engineering accrediting agency)
- Boeing 'Desired Attributes of an Engineer'
- Design Clinic assessment results
Design Clinic Cultural Objectives
- to establish and maintain a foundation of trust and respect.
- to foster student independence.
- to ensure that every stakeholder invested in the program gets something of value from it (known by clinic participants as the “circle of treats” philosophy, which is imperative for clinic sustainability.
- to promote cognitive, social, cultural, creative, and technical diversity.
