What works better "stubbing out" or "seeding?"

Wikipedia uses "Stub"

While I understand the idea of using seed, as in seeding activity, Wikipedia uses the term "stub" (See Wikipedia on stubs for its idea of the "ideal" stub article). There is also a Wikipedia page on most wanted stubs, lending further evidence for adoption the stub jargon as our shared language.

I think shared language is important in gaining new understanding. But what if new people avoid the discourse because the shared language is not inviting? The concept of group think is still something I keep an eye out for.
