Skylight Matrix Survey System
This web-based survey system is used for online course evaluations by several WSU colleges. It is free to WSU Network ID holders. Some account management and administration features are still under development in order to market Skylight outside of WSU as a successor to CTLSilhouette. WSU users can log on the the application with Network ID at http://skylight.wsu.edu. Documentation is being developed in this wiki.
Specific information for using the system:
SharePoint
Within any SharePoint Site, including WSU mySites available to all members of the WSU community, there is a tool for creating surveys (both restricted access and anonymous access).
CTLSilhouette
This web-based survey system was developed in the Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology ca. 1999 and used by over 100 campuses worldwide to administer a range of surveys. This tool is about to be retired and would-be new users are advised to select a different tool. While members of the WSU community can request a free account, the tool is being retired in favor of Skylight (above).
WebCT and BlackBoard
Within WebCT (called eLearning@wsu) and BlackBoard Online Learning Environments, there are tools for surveys (and quiz & test) of members of the space.
Angel Learning System
Angel Learning Management System will replace Blackboard on the urban campuses and for Distance Degree Programs beginning Summer 09. Pullman campus' transition from eLearning to Angel will begin Summer 09 and will be completed Summer 10. Angel LMS has a survey tool.
Publicly Available Tools
