The International Students' Council (ISC) offers both international and domestic students leadership opportunities to become involved in student government for the international community at Washington State University (WSU). ISC welcomes both international students and domestic students to participate in the ISC.
ISC is for both international students and domestic students interested in:
- developing leadership skills in a culturally diverse environment
- promotion of internationalization at WSU.
- organizing student-driven events
The Members of International Students’ Council are committed to:
- Promote international and cultural exchange and awareness on campus and in the Pullman Community
- Provide information for current and future international students at Washington State University
- Strive to provide a politically and religiously neutral organization that works to create a forum for international students on campus
- Encourage gender equality in executive, club, and general representation
- Provide an avenue to meet and discuss concerns, issues, and ideas to facilitate programming and pursue progressive action
- Facilitate International Education Week as a tool to educate the WSU and Pullman Communities concerning international cultural and social programming
International Students' Council is a committee member of ASWSU.
Mission Statement
The mission of the International Students’ Council is to unite the international registered student organizations and to serve as a voice for the international student population at WSU. The ISC promotes mutual understanding across cultures, races, and beliefs, fosters communication between people of different nationalities, and improves global awareness on campus and in the Pullman community by hosting International Education Week and diverse inter-cultural programs.
