The following member roles are important and one person should be assigned to each. However, it is also very important that every group member takes part in all aspects of the project.

  • All Members
    • Everyone on the team is responsible for purchasing a design notebook which can be bought only at the Bookie. The reorder number of the notebook is 33-209.
    • All members are responsible for contributing to the Wiki.
  • Coordinator
    • lays out specific tasks (research, division of reports, etc.)
    • makes sure each group member stays on task
    • contact possible vendors
  • Librarian/Historian
    • compiles all information recieved from customer or other research
    • keeps track of timeline
    • organize all informaton in a notebook (Engineering Computer Labs do not have staplers or hole-punches)
    • log times
    • basecamp organizer (web master)
    • log conference call minutes
  • Liason
    • communicates between group members and customer/sponsor
    • it is important that the customer has one person to contact
    • no redundant information
    • one person is responsible for all information going to the customer
    • it is also important for this person to relay customer concerns and any conversations with the customer back to their group members.
  • Researcher
    • this is a task that should performed by each member of the group
    • specific research tasks should be specified by the coordinator to avoid redundent reseach
    • preliminary calculations and CAD drawings are done during this research.
