Some provide access to full-text articles as well as citations to journal articles, books reviews, books, government documents, and agency reports. Remember to use drop-down menus in search screens to formulate queries in appropriate search fields and to click on “Find it at WSU” to locate and access materials. Remember to evaluate sources critically.

  • Human Rights Watch – Click on “Asia” on left side under “Info by Country” then click “China and Tibet” under “Country Pages” on next screen.
  • Lexis-Nexis Academic – 1. Choose News category = “General news” and News source = “Major papers”. Search “Legal system” in full text and “China” in headline and limit date range to “previous year”. 2. Choose News category = “World news” and News source = “Asia/Pacific news Sources”. Search “Legal system” in full text and “China and Speech” in headline fields and limit date range to “previous five years”.
  • ProQuest Direct – Search “legal system” in citation and “China” as location | “China” as location and “Cultural Revolution” in citation, limited to scholarly articles.
