There are at least two collections of ebooks to which WSU affiliates can make direct links to: NetLibrary and The University of California eBooks.

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA EBOOKS
WSU affiliates have access to only the Public Titles within this database (those without copyright restrictions). It is even possible to link directly to a specific chapterwithin the Public Titles. This database has a little over 500 publically available titles on topics "including art, science, history, music, religion, and fiction."
To create a link to an ebook in this collection, simply copy and paste the URL. You do not need to add the proxy script for off-campus users.
NETLIBRARY
NetLibrary offers access to over 9,000 electronic books to WSU students and staff. This database offers more features to help people organize, bookmark, and annotate resources they use within the database. To learn how to create an account and use NetLibrary, consult this online tutorial.
Netlibrary URL's to individual electronic books (e-books) must be constructed using the following pattern:

It is not possible to link to specific pages or chapters within NetLibrary.
SKILLSOFT: BOOKS24x7
Skillsoft Books 24x7 contains three collections: ITPRO, BusinessPro, and OfficeEssentials. Skillsoft is perhaps better known for being a repository for online tutorials. Part of Skillsoft, however contains thousands of online books indexed by these topics: Business and Culture | Certification and Compliance | Databases | Desktop & Office Applications | Enterprise Computing | Graphic Design & Multimedia | Hardware | IBM Technologies | Networks & Protocols | Operating Systems | Programming Languages | ReferencePoint Suites | Security | Software Engineering | Telecommunications | Web Programming & Development.
It is not possible, due to license restrictions, to make direct links to ebooks in Skillsoft: Books 24x7. However, you can link to a Griffin record which contains the bibliographic information, and often a link to the Table of Contents for resources in Books24x7. It is best to formulate URLs linking to Griffin by using the ISBN search.
You can find out what books are in Skillsoft: Books24x7 by conducting a keyword search in Griffin. Include books24x7 as one of your keywords to return only Skillsoft ebooks.

Oxford English Dictionary
The URL from the address bar for a dictionary entry contains information about the search your used to find the entry, as well as the address of the entry itself. The address to the plain entry ends at the first entry number. The URL below is formatted for off campus users.
