USE THE FIND IT BUTTON TO SEE IF THE ARTICLE IS AVAILABLE FROM ANOTHER DATABASE.

tilde.gif Here is an example of an article that is not available in ProQuest: An economic perspective on experience curves and dynamic economies in renewable energy technologies Maya Papineau. Energy Policy. Kidlington: Mar 2006. Vol. 34, Iss. 4; p. 422 sfx-20x88.gif tilde.gif Click on the Find It @ WSU button above to bring up the Find It! menu. The menu will tell you that the article is available in the "Elsevier SD Elsevier" database. If you click on the GO button ico_go.gif you will go directly to the full-text article in the Elsevier SD Elsevier database.

LINKING TO FULL-TEXT ARTICLES FROM DATABASES OTHER THAN PROQUEST

tilde.gif Once you know which database contains the full-text of your article of interest, you must look for instructions on how to capture the durable link for that particular database. Unfortunately, not all databases do this the same way. You can find instructions for establishing durable links for various databasese at Durable Links: Other Databases. This resource, for example, contains a section on building durable links from Elsevier / Science Direct used in the example above.
