New DDP Course Development - Setting up Ereserves
- Submit the complete citation of each item you wish to use to your DDP instructional designer (ID). This will start the process.
- If the material you want to use is not available electronically - either through one of the library databases, or on the web - then you will need to also provide the following to your ID:
- Photocopy of the material from the original source.
- For best results, copy one page of material per one photocopy page. Make sure there are few or no "shadows" or dark spots on the photocopy. Any flaw in the photocopy will become more exagerated once it is scanned for reserves.
- Photocopy of the source's title page and copyright statement.
- The copyright statement is often (but not always) on the source's title page. These items are absolutely necessary to conform with copyright law.
- You may instead provide scanned files of these materials in .pdf format, if you wish.
Number of Items on Ereserves
It is unusual for course readings to number more than 25 sources, but there is no hard limit to the number of items you can use. There may sometimes be other considerations such as copyright costs for the use of the material. You will be notified if there are any issues regarding your request.
Updating ereserves material for a DDP course
- Contact the DDP instructional designer for your course, and verify what items you wish to replace from the current ereserves, and the complete citations for the new material you wish to use.
- You will need to provide a clean photocopy of the material w/title page and copyright statement to the course's instructional designer, if the items are not online. (See above for photocopy information).

DDP Students Not Able to Access Ereserves
