Definition:

Advertising in the web technological sense is the three partnered economic idea used for maintaining free websites for the use of advertisers adds.


Overveiw

Advertising was used as early as the 1990's on the internet;however, it has truly developed since 2004. Advertising is for example the use of digital adds on websites known to receive large amounts of use in order to advertise their product. The site is generally free for use of the public, the site is maintained through the advertisers pay out for every time a user clicks upon the advertisers link. There are other ways advertisers can pay the site:pay per impression, pay per click, pay per play, pay per action, but the previously mentioned method,pay per click, is the most common.

Mehtods

Pay per Impression:This is the use of web banners and the pay per every thousand visits to the site containing the advertisement.


Pay per Click:This is the use of web links that whenever a user travles to the linked site the orginal free site receives money.


Pay per Play:This is the use of an audio advertisement that pays the site per every time the audio file is played to the end.


Pay per Action:Advertisers will use this method and pay their advertised sites every time the user: Fills an application on the advertisers site, Does a suggested action on the advertisers site, or watches a video on the advertisers site.
