Foils
We can get CNC work done through the Machine shops here. We are going cut the rear foils into a flat foil configuration. This will be tonight! Working of designing the struts. Dr. Matveev is helpin with this.
Boat Testing
We want to get some numbers on the boat. Drag testing down on the river most likely in two weekends.. Nathan needs to contact Precision Propeller to get thrust, torque efficiency vs. advance ratio. Get by next week.
Solar Panels
Solar Panel tesing this sunday at one in the boat shop.
Electrical System
Kevin is on electrical as well. We got a contact at the boat show for the electrical system. He know electrical control systems and should be willing to help us. Any is contacting him and we are waiting to hear back.
Drive Train
The drive train is broken. It bent when the boat flew off the top of the car on the way over. Dr. Matveev has told us that a lot of foils use a direct drive. So we can change our shaft angle and get a good working system.
Boat Show
We got some great contacts at the boat show. We met an alumnus that helped promote us heavily this last weekend. We also got contacts from several other boat building companies.
Daily Evergreen
We were interviewed today by the daily evergreen. They are working on a several part story about renewable energy. Hopedully this will generate some good coverage for ourselves.
