This wiki is part of a "farm" of wikis at WSU provided by WSU's Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology. All of these WSU wikis are based on the MediaWiki software which is also the basis for Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia, but WSU wikis have some customizations and options that differ from Wikipedia.

Therefore, you may want to consider these sources of help:

  • Help for Wikipedia; this is very extensive, but everything that works at Wikipedia does not necessarily work for this wiki;
  • Help for Mediawiki, which covers all built-in features, but not everything in this wiki
  • WSU Wiki help, for features customized for all WSU Wikis
  • skylightwiki help, for features customized for this wiki

Use all four sources of help for best results. Experiments in the Sandbox can also be very useful (and safe).

For login help, see below.

    • Active Directory may ask you to change your password. Try your current password, if that does not work, use the hints to construct a new more secure password. Remember this, its the password that goes with your Network ID.
    • return to Wiki.wsu.edu and try logging in.
  • Still having problems logging in? Use this support request. Mention whether you activated your Active Directory account, whether you changed your password in the process, or any other information that would help them help you. Don't share your password in the Help from, but do include your name and Network ID.
