Introduction

Text response allows the respondent to type text. There is no error or value checking.

Formats

There are two formats for presenting a blank for the respondent to provide free-text resonses:

• Single Line
• Multiple Line

The only possible report is a compilation of the text responses.

How do I add "Other" option to my question?

You can use the text response and an additional Response Element to add "Other" to Choice questions, but those questions provide an "Other" option that is preferable because the choice question will record that the user selected "Other" as well as the value of the "other" option. This will provide superior reporting.
