Uses for Respondent Pool Metadata
- Controlling groups of questions that will show in a matrix survey to particular respondents.
- Passing text to be displayed into the text of the survey items.
- Passing supplemental data about the respondent pool into reports for analysis.
Note: Respondent pools themselves serve to discriminate of groups of respondents (this is a change from Silhouette (aka Flashlight Online 1.0) which used categorical variables to discriminate among groups of respondents.
Defining Metadata Keys and Values
- Key
- an alphanumeric string (spaces allowed, case sensitive) to describe the class of values being represented (can not contain these 3 characters: "{" "}" ":" )
- Value
- an alphanumeric string (spaces allowed, case sensitive) that is the value being represented.
