Questions and Response Elements

To make it easier to organize a survey and share questions in item banks, a "question" can be "compound," that is it can contain multiple "response elements." You can add a response element to a question by clicking the "add element" button in the question group.

Below is an example of a question made of three response elements (radio button, check box and a multi-line text area). In this example the "prompt" for the check box element was intentionally left blank:
