Published version v1.0.0710.11.1959:
Key changes
- Implemented Display of URL for taking a survey in the Respondent Pool Properties Panel
- Implemented Display of HTML to be embedded in web page for taking a survey in the Respondent Pool Properties Panel
- Fixed delivery system so that it will accept the long format URLs in addition to the short format.
- Added "Test Mode" functionality to survey delivery. When using a test mode survey delivery URL, the response set will be marked as test data.
- Implemented display of dynamic content in Survey Delivery.
- Disabled recursive processing of dynamic survey data tags.
- Removed the "info." prefix requirement for accessing data object metadata when resolving dynamic survey data tags.
- Implemented connection to CTLTMailer to be used to send survey notifications to respondents. Blake says there is still a little more to do, but testing on it can begin now.
Bugs fixed
- Fixed bug where error would display when attempting to add a respondent pool via the "Add" button on the Respondent Pool List page.
- Fixed bug where error would display when attempting to edit the properties of a survey that has a stop date defined, but not start date.
- Fixed Bug where copying RespondentPool metadata resulted in corrupted metadata in the copy.
- Altered the RespondentPool dataset so that all queries that return multiple respondent pools will automatically be sorted by RespondentPoolName. These were ordered by RespondentPoolID for some reason.
- Fixed bug that prevented adding extra metadata values to system predefined keys for Survey and Respondent Pool.
- Fixed bug in what was logged when sending an email notification. The system was indicating a Portal Notice was being sent when this wasn't true. Also, the user will now see how many respondent pools and respondents were targeted when sending a survey invitation.
WSU specific changes
- Added better message feedback to users for myWSU Notices that have problems targeting users/groups. If there were errors, the user will get a list of each problem including the recipient ObjectName and the error message.
- Added code to combine instructor first and last name to create a new metadata key on Section Picker import.
- Fixed the web service Url for the section picker since it was incorrect (I had it referenced as HTTP instead of HTTPS).
- Deleted an older dev picker web service not in use.
Week of Oct 15
- Copy/Paste questions between surveys is working see Copy-Paste Questions.
- Copy/Paste of Surveys is functional again.
- Respondents Username now being recorded upon survey completion. This will allow the application to display who has completed the survey. There is absolutly no connection between the respondents Username and their responses. Anonymity is preserved.
- Usage of the short format url (https://www.servername.org/s/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.srv) is now required. The long format URL will not take you to a survey.
- Folder Authorization has been fixed, but username may not display as desired when using FIDs.
- Fixed BUG where sending a myWSU Notice message would not notify WSU Lab sections.
Week of Oct 8
- Fixed BUG where respondents were forced to authenticate with the Skylight application when attempting to take a survey. Reported Here
Week of Oct 1
- WSU launched mid-course evaluations for 70+ sections. This raised issues of tracking response rates and reporting results to faculty to top priority
Week of September 24
- Created a new Glossary page, Please add words that need clarification to this page.
- Excel Spreadsheet download of data. On the "Reports" button of your survey manager.
-
BUG Excel download only works if your respondent pool has valid start & stop dates (no blanks) - Revised survey taking interface, takes out some overhead that was slowing it down.
-
BUG requires survey respondents to log in for unsecured survey. - Print Preview feature added
- Collaborate on a survey -- permission other users to a folder.
Week of September 17
- Collaborate on a survey by sharing the URL of the Survey Manager. In the event that a colleague has a survey in a folder where you can't see it, open the survey manager from your list of surveys, grab this URL and share it. (This is probably a bug Mantis 0000188)
- Delete Page, Question and Question Element. These functions may appear not to work. (Mantis 189 & 192). However, there seems to be an interaction with taking the survey and then deleting. Since the system lacks a preview now, the only preview means is to take the survey. Doing so records data (even if you don't select anything, that fact is recorded). This seems to (reasonably) inhibit delete
- Copy Survey has subtle bug that won't show until you try to get the report from your copied survey. Please don't use a copied survey.
- https://skylightbeta.wsu.edu is now using a Thawte SSL cert.
