- A product of the TLT Group, marketed as part of the package Flashlight Online.
In Silhouette (aka Flashlight Online 1.0) the Flashlight Item bank was provided as the only built in item bank. Individual questions could be picked from the item bank and added to surveys. As time went on, templates for surveys were created by treating a regular survey in a special way. These surveys as templates were copied and then edited to make new surveys.
Flashlight Item Bank questions had the special property that the author could change some variable parts of the item. That feature has been captured in Skylight (aka Flashlight Online 2.0) using metadata.

In the new version of the system, these variable portions are handled by inserting metadata into the question body and setting the metadata values at the survey or respondent pool level.
