Exporting Data to SAS or SPSS

These instructions apply to survey owners exporting all the data in a survey to SAS or SPSS for further analysis.

At this writing (3/17/08) there is no mechanism to export the data of one or more respondent pools for SAS/SPSS analysis.

Export from Skylight

In Skylight, open the file the Excel data file. Data has to be saved in Excel before it can be imported to SPSS.

Import to SPSS

Open SPSS. Open > Data. Select Types of files: "All files" and find the previously saved Excel file. Data will import automatically into SPSS. Once in SPSS, data will need to be cleaned in order to work correctly with SPSS.
