Basic Questions

The following are the basic question types (scroll down for links):

  • Choice (choose one, choose several) with different display formats
  • Likert
  • Rank Order
  • Rating Scale
  • Text Response (single line or multi-line)
  • Non-response elements that can add other information to the survey
  • Image and Video
  • Text Block

Compound Questions

The list of basic types above can be extended by making Compound Questions, accomplished by combining "basic question types" which are the atomic parts of compound questions.

Labels and Values

Some question types allow the presentation of a label to the respondent and the recording of a different value for later analysis. (e.g., the respondent sees "Strongly Agree" and the system records "5" (learn more))

Hierarchy of Survey Page elements

Questions are one level in a hierarchy of elements in a survey (learn more).

Metadata

Questions can have metadata associated with them, and will be able to be searched by that metadata.
