[[Dragon Naturally Speaking]] can be used to transcribe a recorded audio file (such as a lecture) into a text file.  Once you have [[How to train Dragon Naturally Speaking | trained Dragon Naturally Speaking]], you can transcribe your [[WAV]] file into text.

===Transcribing a WAV file===

To open a file to transcribe to text, click on the Transcribe button.
(If you cannot see the lower portion of the Dragon Naturally Speaking bar, click on the double arrows on the left)

| Click on browse and find the WAV file you would like transcribed.  Then click on the Transcribe button.

| DragonPad will then open and start transcribing your file.  You can watch the text appear as it goes through.  When it is complete, you can start editing it.
