Confirm mySite in Use
From ctowiki
Periodically, users of WSU mySite will receive an automatic email prompting them to confirm that their WSU mySite site is still active. These email messages will continue until a user confirms their site or chooses to have their account deleted.

What it means
This email is a reminder to you about your WSU mySite and a request to confirm that it is still important to you.
What happens if you do nothing?
You will continue to get email reminders to take one of the two actions. If, perhaps, you are not reading the email address ([your NID]@wsu.edu) the messages will pile up, but your site will not be deleted. Learn more about Deleting WSU mySites.
Option 1: Confirm your site
Follow the link in the message to confirm your site is still active. The system will prompt you again at a preset interval (about once per semester) to reconfirm.
You might review your site and delete old files, sub-sites and portfolios which will free up more space for new things. If you want to archive parts of your mySite to CDROM before deleting, see Archiving WSU mySites for guidance.
Option 2. Delete your site
Follow the other link in the message and midway down the page choose the "Delete this site" option. Please Note: By deleting your account, all content associated with your mySite is deleted. There is no way to undelete it.
If you choose to delete your account, people who are still current students and employees are able to create a new WSU mySite account by re-accessing their mySite through my.wsu.edu
Problems with delete
Some users have reported that the link in the email does not work. Here is ITS suggested strategy (from hotseat):
- Open http://mysite.wsu.edu <http://mysite.wsu.edu/> and login with your user name and password.
- It should take you to your personal site home page.
- Click Site Settings => Go to Site Administration
- Under Management and Statistics section of that page, Click “Delete this site”
- If the “Delete This Site” option is still grayed out, Close the browser and then start a new browser session.
- Delete Temporary Internet Files
- Delete Cookies
- Close the browser
- Start steps 1 – 4
