Using MySite Profile Details

Think of WSU mySite as your Professional counterpart to your Facebook or MySpace site.
The mySite Profile Details (Responsibilities, Skills, Past Projects and Interests) work in conjunction with the Colleague Tracker. Data should be input in both Details and Colleagues for best effect.

Input the data
- Name: Populated by the system.
- Title: Populated by the system.
- About Me: You can put brief biographical information here. Note, this will appear in other contexts within the WSU MyClass and WSU My Site system. If you write goofy things ("I wander around drinking coffee") they may appear in places where you do not wish to project that as your professional image.
- Your Picture: You can upload an image here. The size should be about 100x100 pixels for best results. Note, this will appear in other contexts within the WSU MyClass and WSU My Site system.
The next items are similar in function to things you see in MySpace and Facebook.
- Responsibilities: Use single words or short phrases, these will become search terms which can help you find people with the same responsibilities. (This icon
will show you words and phrases others have used. Picking from the list may give you better results than inventing a synonym term. Scrolling does not work in Firefox, use search to get close.)
- Skills: Use single words or short phrases, these will become search terms which can help you find people with the same skills. (This icon

- Past projects: Use single words or short phrases, these will become search terms which can help you find people who have worked in the sme projects. Students might list specific courses here. (This icon

- Interests: Use single words or short phrases, these will become search terms which can help you find people with the same interests.
- Schools: Use single words or short phrases, these will become search terms which can help you find people who attended the same school.
