Internet Explorer 7

Notes

Internet Explorer 7 was released in late October 2006 as a free download, availible at Microsoft's Internet Explorer site. Computers connected to the Automatic Updates service through Windows XP will now download IE7 as a high-priority update, though users can still continue to "opt-out" of its installation. IE7 is only supported on Windows XP running Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2003 running Service Pack 1, and with Windows Vista (with which it comes bundled). Some of the biggest changes with IE7 are an updated user interface (with tabbed browsing support), improved browser security, anti-spoofing checks on pages, improved CSS support, and support for transparent PNG graphic files.
