My Alerts Summary web part (mySite private page)

This Dynamic Web Part can not be directly edited, only moved, resized, and deleted. It displays sites where you have active alerts. The title of the webpart allows access to detail to manage your alerts.

On the mySite of other users

To create alerts on the actions of others' mySites, when you are visiting their mySite, choose Alert me in the left menu. (You get forced to log on again, remember the "AD\".) Fill out the form on the next page. You will get email alerts and they will also appear on your WSU mySite under the My Alerts Summary.

On Other Workspace Sites

Under Site Settings on the top toolbar, find My Alerts. You can add alerts of specific things, like a discussion, a document library, or even a single document.

Alerts on Search Results

After running a search, on the search results page, there is an option to set an alert on that query and be notified about new items and changes in items that match the search.
