Converting an audio file with dbPowerAmp
From ctowiki
Dragon Naturally Speaking cannot read a file for dictation unless it is a 11 or 22 khz mono WAV file. The easiest program found for converting files to that format is called DbPowerAmp Music Converter. To read WMA files, you need to download the basic program. The program is a free, though it will try to have the user buy the MP3 encoder, which is unnecessary. You will also need the WMA codec to convert WMA files, which is available on the DBPowerAmp website.
Once these programs are installed, you can then convert your WMA recordings. To start, copy or move your files from your recorder to a folder on your computer. This step can be different depending on the recorder used.
