On the My Home tab of your WSU mySite a tool called Colleague Tracker is preinstalled in the right column. This tool is resembles the Facebook "News Feed" and brings you information about colleague's activities in WSU mySite.

Setting up Colleague Tracker

Colleague tracker came preinstalled on your My Home tab, but you need to add colleagues (like adding friends in Facebook).

Basic setup of a colleague

  • Click on the title "Colleague Tracker"
  • Click on "Add Colleagues" in the toolbar on the page that appears
  • Add people by WSU Network ID (the name in @wsu.edu email addresses)
  • check names using the little person/checkmark icon below the box where you typed names
  • Click OK to finish

Information about others for you

Colleague Tracker will show you information about recent documents, pictures, and blogs posted by your colleagues. (If your colleague permitted you to see the item)

Information from you for others

You can post information on your WSU mySite for your colleagues

You can post links for your own use, but also permit your colleagues to see them
Documents
Documents you save in your My Home Shared Documents (and other sub-sites and document libraries)
